Recently I’ve moved from utilising a Synology NAS for network storage to an old business class HP Desktop that’s been fitted out with some extra storage. I’ve installed Debian with no GUI to save on resources and presently using just 300MB of RAM while already running – TFTP, Samba and Apache.
Below are the guides followed that assisted in configuring a Debian system.
- Linuxize – How to install and configure Samba on Ubuntu.
- Linux Config – How to configure Samba Share on Debian 9.
